Hi everyone!
We are all good...for now. The dreaded Winter Vomiting Virus (my that sounds lovely, doesn't
it?) has struck our area. It is caused by a Norwalk-like virus, and it very nasty. The name only tells half the story,
in fact. Eww. We all had it two years ago, just after Lucy was born. What fond memories.
On to less repulsive topics: Natalie has been doing excellently in Kindergarten. You may think that's nothing
hard, but they really work these kids now. She can read, more or less. They practice writing their letters and numbers and
work on reading comprehension. I think a hard day of Kindergarten in my day was a game of Ring-Around the Roses, a snack and
then a nap. Damn.
Dan's band is, as ever, busy. He is now taking some advanced guitar lessons with Rick Balestra, a jazz-guitar
sort of guy.
I'm still painting, trying to get into the studio once a week or so, though things slowed down in October
when I went in for surgery. Nothing dramatic, nothing serious, just a painful recovery. I'm fine now, thanks for asking. ;-)
Lucy, now almost two, is still not really talking. She relies on screeching, grunting, whining and pointing,
to get what she wants, though she obviously understands us quite well. All in good time, I suppose.
About the US Presidential election, all I'll say is that I am not happy. Let's leave it at that.
